His law degree is from Universidad de Costa Rica. He is the author of the undergraduate thesis titled: “La Cláusula de no Competencia Post Contractual en el Derecho Laboral Costarricense” and of the Master’s degree thesis: Publicaciones de los trabajadores en redes sociales, su aplicación en la etapa precontractual y en la determinación de faltas a nivel interno, así como medio de prueba en el proceso laboral”.
He has been part of the Firm since 1999. Alejandro obtained a master’s degree in Labour Law and Social Security from Universidad Estatal a Distancia and has served as professor of Labour Law at Universidad de Costa Rica’s Law School, as well as a professor in the master’s degree Program at ULACIT. In addition, he has extensive expertise on the impact of the use of technology at the workplace.
He has been recognized by Chambers&Partners as leading labour law attorney in Costa Rica for years 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, likewise, Best Lawyers recognized him as 2018 Lawyer of the Year on labour matters in Costa Rica.
He has participated as speaker in seminars and congresses on labour law topics, both locally and internationally, and is a permanent collaborator in labour topics for elempleo.com of La Nación newspaper. As an expert in labour matters, he is consulted by the Costa Rican media on a regular basis.
