He leads the Firm’s Litigation Practice. Efraín has extensive experience in labour litigation. He worked for the Labor Court of the Second Judicial Circuit of San Jose from May 2000 to April 2006. He has served as a professor of Individual and Collective Labour Law at Universidad de San José.
Efraín is the author of the undergraduate thesis titled: “La aplicación supletoria del Código Procesal Civil dentro del procedimiento laboral, por remisión del artículo 452 del Código de Trabajo; un análisis crítico desde la perspectiva jurisdiccional”.
He has been recognized by Chambers&Partners – considered the leading ranking for lawyers and law firms worldwide – as leading labour law attorney in Costa Rica for years 2013 and 2014.
He has participated as speaker in local seminars and congresses on labour law topics and is a permanent collaborator in labour topics for elempleo.com section of La Nación newspaper. As an expert in labour matters he is consulted by the Costa Rican media on a regular basis.
