Francisco Salas Chaves
He is co-founder of BDS Asesores. He obtained his law degree obtained from Universidad de Costa Rica in 1995, Master’s degree in Business Law from the University for International Cooperation, and master’s degree in Labour Law and Social Security from Universidad Estatal a Distancia.
Furthermore, he has extensive experience in providing preventive and corrective labour advice for a number of local and multinational companies. He has also experience in the labour law field focused on the civil service.
He has been recognized by Chambers&Partners as leading labour law attorney in Costa Rica for years 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
In the academic field, he has been a professor of Labour Law at Universidad de Costa Rica and has penned several articles on labor law for the print media.
He has participated as speaker in seminars and congresses on labour law topics, both locally and internationally, and is a permanent collaborator in labour topics for elempleo.com section of La Nación newspaper. As an expert in labour matters he is consulted by the Costa Rican media on a regular basis.
